Caregiver FAQ

Wait, are you a music camp? What's with "Playlist Day Camp"?

Ok, you got us - no, we’re not a music camp, but we totally see how you might think that. We were thinking about how our campers get to choose from tons of different activity options every day to build their own PLAY list, get it? Like, a playlist but a play-list? Whatever, we think it’s cool!

What time is pick-up and drop-off?

Drop-off is from
8:30 AM – 9:00 AM.

Pick-up is from
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM.

Extended care drop-off is from 7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Extended care pick-up is from 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM.

Will swimming be offered?

Swimming is an optional activity each day, offered as a choice for kids to opt into. Our waterfront is always staffed with certified lifeguards who will assess each camper’s ability and assign them to the appropriate swim area based on their skill.

What if my child doesn't want to participate in an activity?

That’s ok! Campers have the choice to participate or not participate in all activities. We will always have activity options for campers to choose from, including the option to not do anything at all.

In certain circumstances, campers will be required to move with the camp to an area, but once in that area, campers are free to choose what they’d like to do.

How are lunch and snacks handled at Day Camp?

You may send your child with a packed lunch, or purchase lunch from the camp kitchen for an additional $29 per week.

All campers receive two snacks per day. Please note that we are a nut-aware facility, but cannot guarantee all ingredients are made in nut-free facilities.

how do I know that my camper is ready for day Camp?

In order to be successful at Day Camp, your camper should be able to dress themselves, use the bathroom independently, and be ok with being away from their caregiver for the day. Because our schedule emphasizes free choice, we see dramatically fewer behavior problems at Playlist compared to other camps.

What activities will my child participate in?

Playlist Day Camp is camp curated with our campers, so we can’t really guarantee your camper will definitely participate in specific activities. Campers can choose from 5-7 activities each hour-long activity period, or work with our staff to create their own activity ideas!

How do pick-up and drop-off work?

Campers are dropped off in the camp drop-off circle. We ask that adults stay in the car while a camp staff person helps your camper out of the car.

At pick-up, we will ask for you camper's unique PIN to ensure each person is approved to pick up a camper. Once confirmed, the camper will be called to the pick-up line over the radio!

What happens if my camper breaks one or more camp rules?

Listen, everyone makes mistakes, adults included! At Day Camp we aim to build a camp community based on connection, partnership, empathy, and support. As long as the camper can commit to doing their best to learn, to listen with the goal of understanding, and to repairing harm when it occurs, we’re committed to helping them learn and grow together.

At Playlist Day Camp, we believe in the power of community - us, you, and your campers - to create unforgettable summer experiences. Our camp offers a diverse range of activities and adventures that encourage campers to step out of their comfort zones and discover new passions.
